Screening / start of project questionnaire. We used this questionnaire for two purposes. First, to help us select participants for the workshops. We sought to recruit people from a range of backgrounds, ages and levels of experience at making, mending and modifying clothes. Second, it became the start-of-project questionnaire. We asked similar questions at the end of the project to track changes in the ways people think, feel and act about their clothing.

Post workshop participation questionnaire. The end of project questionnaire was completed by participants after their participation in the project. We used the results to compare their answers ito those they provided in the start of project questionnaire.

Wardrobe audit. The wardrobe audit has three components. First, participants guess how many items that they have in their wardrobes. Second, they count these items. Third, they are interviewed in front or their wardrobes and asked to showcase various items. This gets people talking and thinking about their wardrobe content and clothing choices. We took inspiration from Kate Fletcher and Ingun Grimstad Klepp (eds) (2017) Opening Up the Wardrobe: A Methods Book, Novus AS.
