The Environmental Audit Committee is a Parliamentary body that has been established to investigate the social and environmental impact of disposable ‘fast fashion’ and the wider clothing industry. The inquiry is scrutinising the environmental cause and effect of carbon, resource use and water footprint of clothing throughout its lifecycle. It will explore the possibilities of how clothing can be recycled, and waste and pollution reduced.
