Changing the way people think, feel & act about clothing
S4S is a collaboration of community participants, academics, designers, film-makers, consultants and stakeholders who worked together to co-create hands-on making, mending and modifying clothes workshops that sought to encourage people to think, feel and act more sustainably.
We ran 40 one-day workshops with around 40 participants in Cornwall and the West Midlands. We used creative interdisciplinary social science and arts methodologies to chart our participants’ journeys through the project.
The project outcomes are rich and varied. They range from academic publications, films and leaflets through to exhibitions and a researcher toolkit.
We provide resources and opportunities so you can engage with our project on-line. These resources will help you think reflectively about your own clothing choices and develop new sensibilities about clothing that enable you to act more sustainably.
